In light of watching the Election coverage last night, I have been overcome with emotion.... I am overcome with a feeling of patriotism. We are so blessed to live in such a great country. Where we enjoy so many freedoms. All night long this song kept going through my head:

I know I am probably the last person you would think would get all teary eyed, listening to both John Mccain and Barack Obama's speeches last night. But it gave me a great sense of HOPE. I feel as if I have never really thought about all our nation has been through. When Obama was talking about the 106 year old woman who cast her vote yesterday. It made me realize that in the past 100 years our country has come a long way. I am hopeful that we can unite as people in the next 4 years. I am so grateful to live here, in this land of the free. Where I can go and cast my vote peacefully, for the guy I thought would do the best job. It is great to know that I was one vote in a part of history.

You were not the only one with a few tears while listening to both speeches. My heart hurt for McCain, because I really do think he has a great love for this Country, and it also hurt for Obama and the enormous responsibility he has before him. I hope this Counry can pull together as one and make it work for all of us and all of our little people coming behind us.

Oh I loved that! I am sorry that i was doggin on him earlier. I do have some reservations about him. But I am sure that he will do great. I can't imagine the weight on his shoulders. Glad it's him and not me....
I'm with you. What an amazing blessing we were given being born in this great nation with so many freedoms and opportunities. I loved the respect both candidates showed to one another in their election night speeches. I am wary still of our new President elect, but as our next President he does have my support and I hope we can prosper as a nation again.
