Aloha Oe!!
Aloha!!! We're back!!! It was an absolutely amazing 2 weeks, filled with sand, sun, palm trees and unimaginable scenery--but most important FUN!! We stayed on Kauai the whole time in a beach house right on the beach in Anahola. We snorkeled, swam, boogie boarded, surfed (or tried to) ate tons of fresh pineapple and shaved ice!! Saw the whole island via helicopter which was unbelievable! Enjoyed waterfall after waterfall, where we saw the wettest spot on earth, 460 inches of rain per year=120 ft. of snow! The Na pali coast was stunning. Where we learned that the first natives to the island lived there among the spires. We saw endangered Hawaiian Monk Seals, sea turtles, crabs, frogs, cockroaches, centipedes, and Michelle was the one to find the giant Kane spider. Also Dad caught a rat their room! YUCK! But my personal favorite were the wild roosters. They didn't seem to know when morning was so they would crow all day long. Starting right in the tree which is just outside the window next to your head around 5 am. Paul was getting pretty good at throwing rocks up in trees in the wee morning hours. The kids played non stop in the ocean and sand. The boogie boards were their favorite. We also cracked open some coconuts that were in the backyard to give them a taste. The stars at night were incredible! So bright, and so many. We were lucky to have a skylight in our room so each night as I lay next to the boys to get them to sleep we could see Orion's belt. A truly amazing place to be so blessed to stay for 2 weeks. Thanks Mom & Dad for everything, we love you!!

Newty's, looks like good times in Kauai! The beach where Paul is "trying" to surf, I think is the same beach I got my shorts ripped completly off from a wave, not good! Pollywog, do you think you could teach me how you get that feathery wave of hair to flow out of your hat like that? It reminds me so much of Chuck Bowles-stunning!
What an amazing trip! We've never been to Hawaii, but it's such a beautiful place we'll have to get there someday. All of your pictures looked dreamy, I'm glad you have such a fun time with family.
